PBS annual Chinese Lunar New Year on January 27 at Hakka Hall

Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) will be holding its annual Chinese Lunar New Year Open House next week.

According to PBS Deputy President cum organizing committee chairman, Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, the open house will be held at Port View Palace Hall (Hakka Hall), Tanjung Lipat, Likas on January 27 (Monday), on the third day of Chinese New Year from 11 am to 1.00 pm.

“In the spirit of celebrating unity through diversity, Parti Bersatu Sabah welcomes everyone from all walks of life to join us in celebrating this festive occasion,” added Dr Yee.

According to Dr Yee, the annual Chinese New Year open house is in keeping with the party’s tradition of promoting peace and unity among Malaysians in Sabah.

To further emphasise the beauty of Sabahan’s spirit of of unity through diversity, Dr Yee said that this year program will feature lau sang toss for good fortune with members of the public as well.

Dr Yee also extend the invitation to all community leaders, veterans, religious bodies, associations and NGOs to join in this festive celebration.

Various entertainments such as performances by local singers, traditional dance and lion dance performances have been lined up to keep guests entertained.  

Mandarin oranges and angpows will also be given to children.
