ONGKILI: Close rapport between BN component parties crucial to win against common enemy

Cooperation between Sabah Barisan Nasional component parties is crucial to ensure victory for the coalition in the upcoming political battle.

Parti Bersatu Sabah Deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili in disclosing this said it was also important to further boost the existing cooperation between the local political parties in Sabah to ensure their respective candidates secure bigger majorities in the 14th General Election.

“Without cooperation with the BN component parties here, we will not be mighty like we are today. We need stronger alliance to face our common enemy in the coming election.

“We must defend all our seats to ensure Barisan Nasional stays in power,” he said after meeting the United PasokMomogun KadazanDusun Murut Organisation (UPKO) Kota Marudu leaders, here, today.

Ongkili, who has been entrusted by the PBS Supreme Council to carry out the presidential duties, stressed that only through unity can BN retain its seats and recapture the lost ones.

“We must work together to ensure our candidates, regardless which party they represent, win in the coming GE14. What matters most is for us to work as a team,” he said.
